Welcome to Pleasant View Professional Counseling, LLC.

Now accepting new clients ages 12+.

Meet Your Therapist

Your counselor, Samantha Fooce has been working in the human services field since 1999. Her first position as an unlicensed (paraprofessional) “Crisis Counselor” was working midnight shift in 1999-2001 at Pathways Inc’s Crisis Center in Ashland, Ky. Since that time, she has had experience working as a Child Protective Services Case Manager, Crime Victim’s Advocate, Therapeutic Program Worker, School-Based Counselor, Chemical Dependency Counselor and as a Clinical Director prior to opening Pleasant View Professional Counseling, LLC. in 2019. She received her first license in counseling in 2007 in the state of Ohio and later became licensed in WV. She believes strongly that a clinician should have many years of experience working with a variety of clients before going into private practice.

It is likely that she has had the experience to understand the situations you are going through. If she feels she is unqualified or under-equipped, believes you need additional services she cannot provide, or thinks she is not a “good fit” for you as a counselor, she will refer you to another provider or give you additional information to find a clinician who may better suit your needs.

Let’s Get Through This Together

We offer both virtual/telehealth sessions and in person counseling. Now, if you are a resident of Ohio or West Virginia, your drive time is no longer a barrier to treatment. You can receive counseling from the comfort of your own home, vehicle or any private place where you have access to a strong internet connection. If you are interested in virtual counseling, please make sure your insurance still supports this, as rules continue to change.

We cater to work and school schedules, offering appointments from 12pm-7pm, Monday through Thursday.

Private Confidential Counseling

Sometimes we just need someone to talk to when life gets complicated. We could all benefit from having someone who will listen to our concerns and provide feedback in a confidential, understanding atmosphere. In a small town such as ours, your privacy and confidentiality are prioritized. In some situations such as divorce, family issues, employment, legal concerns, etc., clients occasionally opt out of using insurance benefits and choose private pay for added privacy. We can discuss this option if requested.

Counseling for Wellness

Pleasant View Counseling focuses on the whole person, and all treatment is personally designed for you. In this busy, stressful world, professional counseling isn’t just for treating illness. It is also crucial for maintaining optimal overall satisfaction with life.
